The Waipa Satellite Unit is part of the Waipa Primary School in Ngaruawahia. We are well accepted by staff and students and feel part of the culture of the school. We join in for weekly activities which include: special events, sporting/cultural activities, library and Kapahaka.

	At Waipa School, there is a new swimming pool being made right next to our classroom. This means we have been able to watch and hear lots of exciting machines. The new pool will be bigger and deeper than the old one, so we are looking forward to swimming after Christmas.
We found some new lambs and their mothers in a paddock near our school. One sheep had triplets. They are very tame and we bring them our food scraps to eat when we visit.
	Every day we have a mail bag which is taken between our class and Hamilton North School by van. It is Hami's job to give the driver the mail bag.
We like to visit the Taitua Arboretum and look at the trees as they change throughout the year. There are also hens, ducks and cows to see as well.
