Multi Sensory Learning Centre
In the Community

Hamilton North School students enjoy being part of the community. We believe that by integrating with the community, we are building a bridge of understanding between our students and the public.

The Waikato Equestrian Centre

Horseriding helps us to improve our balance and strengthens our muscles. We also learn to become more confident. Some classes learn how to groom the horses as well.
Waka Ama

We paddle in our Waka Ama for fitness. We have participated in Waka Ama competitions and have done very well.

Living Rhythms

Helena helped Leanne keep in time to the beat using a drum. Each of the students played a variety of instruments including drums, the ukulele, the marimba and the harp.

Doug the Digger

Shelley got some tips on how to use a digger from "Doug the Digger". She transferred a wood stick from one set of cones to another. Shelley had to concentrate on listening to the instructions as well as using the controls.

Hawaiian Beach Party "Disco"

We held a Disco with a Hawaiian theme. Some of the students made the props and decorated the St. Andrews Middle School Gym. We all had a good time dancing and some students showed off their Hawaiian costumes. A special treat was hitting a pinata filled with lollies.

Basketball

We are warming up for our Basketball practice. Our school has participated in several basketball tournaments and we are the current Special Schools Basketball Champions.
